Tennis | Aryna Sabalenka vs Caroline Garcia
Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

Number 6 seed, Caroline Garcia, has made the last 16 at the WTA Cincinnati Open. The French superstar will be facing the Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus. Both of these players are among the most exciting talents in the tennis world and will fancy their chances of winning this match. This should ensure that we get a great contest.

Caroline Garcia won her last match in style as she beat Victoria Azarenka in straight sets. The French superstar looked dominant as she prevented her opponent from getting any control of that match. Garcia is known for her strong baseline stroked which she displayed in her last match. The number 6 seed was hitting the ball very cleanly and this usually means that she is in good form. The hard courts in North America suit Garcia’s game well and I am sure she will be keen to take advantage of the favorable conditions. Having said all that, this will not be an easy game since she is playing a very good opponent.

Aryna Sabalenka, on the other hand, will look to beat the red-hot French superstar. The 20-year-old has played some good tennis this tournament and has looked very solid. Aryna Sabalenka is yet to record a big score in North America this season and with the US Open starting in a few weeks, she will be desperate to get a deep run going in Cincinnati. This will be a very tough chance for Aryna Sabalenka but considering her form, she will be able to put up a good fight.

All in all, I am predicting Caroline Garcia to win. She is the better player in these conditions and I think she will take advantage of them and get the win. This should be a close match since both players are very talented so I think we can expect to see three sets.
