Caroline Wozniacki and Shuai Zhang meet in the third round of the 2019 tennis Wimbledon.

Caroline Wozniacki is coming off a straight sets win over Veronika Kudermetova that took 22 games to decide. In the victory, Wozniacki won 78 percent of her first serve points and 76 percent of her second serve points. Wozniacki won 78 percent of her total service points and converted on two of her 12 break points. Wozniacki got 71 percent of her first serves in play and didn’t face a single break point. If Wozniacki is going to serve like that moving forward, she has a chance to make this easily her best tournament run at the Wimbledon. Wozniacki hopes to make her sixth career grand slam fourth round appearance since 2016. Wozniacki hasn’t made a fourth round of a grand slam since last years French Open. Wozniacki has won four of her last five matches on grass court.

Shuai Zhang is coming off a straight sets win over Yanina Wickmayer that took 17 games to decide. In the victory, Zhang won 76 percent of her first serve points and 46 percent of her second serve points. Zhang won 67 percent of her total service points and converted on five of her eight break points. Zhang got 72 percent of her first serves in play and saved two of her three break points. Zhang has won all four sets this tournament and has just 22 combined unforced errors. Zhang hopes to make her second career grand slam fourth round appearance and the first since the 2016 Australian Open. Zhang has won four of her last five matches on grass court.

They’ve split the previous two meetings, as Zhang won 2016 Indian Wells in three sets and Wozniacki won 2014 Cincinnati in straight sets.

Wozniacki isn’t the most trustworthy player overall, especially in grand slam play, as she has a long history of dropping a stinker and losing matches she probably shouldn’t. With that said, Wozniacki should cruise in this contest if she’s able to come anywhere close to the serving performance she had in her last match. Zhang has little to no grand slam success in her career and doesn’t have anything to her game capable of scaring some of the top players in the world.

Wozniacki should advance to the fourth round.
