Spanish superstar, David Ferrer, is the seventh seed at the Swedish Open. This is not the seeding that Ferrer has been used to but it has been clear to see the drop quality for the player from Spain. That being said, Ferrer will still be confident in his ability and will be determined to perform well. He takes on Norwegian player, Casper Ruud, in the second round of this tournament.

Casper Ruud is only 19 but has already impressed many spectators around the world. The teenager failed to qualify for Wimbledon but has managed impressive results in other big tournaments like the French Open where he made the last 64. This will be a big test for the Norwegian since he is up against one of the most experienced players on the tour and the youngster will be tested. It is important to note that the Swedish crowd is on the side of Casper Ruud so it will be interesting to see if that impacts this match.

On the other side of the court, David Ferrer will see this as a great chance to make a deep run in an ATP tournament and show the world that he still has tennis left to play. The Spanish veteran had a disappointing Wimbledon campaign as he was eliminated in the opening round but he managed to win his first-round match in this tournament in straight sets and is looking in decent form. It will not be an easy game for David Ferrer since Casper Ruud is a very energetic player but I think the Spaniard should be good enough to get a win.

As far as betting is concerned, I am going to suggest that we bet on the outright market. David Ferrer is priced very well and I think that betting on him to win is the best option. Expect this to be a close match where both players win a set. The over 2.5 sets should also win.
