Stefanos Tsitsipas vs David Goffin
|Date & Time||Friday August 3, 2018, 5:00 PM (EDT)|
The Line: David Goffin -163/ Stefanos Tsitsipas +130 Over/Under:
Belgian tennis superstar, David Goffin, was dominant in the round of 16 of the Citi Open in Washington DC and has gotten a spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The number 3 seed will be taking on Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece who is the number 10 seed. Both these players are at a high level and will be determined to win since the title is only three games away.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is a very promising talent and at the age of only 19, he is expected to be one of the future world champions. It has been a good few months for the Greek teenager as he has had deep runs in many tournaments including Wimbledon where he made it to the round of 16. This tournament will be a good way for Stefanos Tsitsipas to prepare for the US Open and he has shown that he is very good on hard courts as he has won both his games in very convincing fashion. This will be a much harder test for the Greek youngster and it will be interesting to see if he can handle the pressure.
On the other side of the court, David Goffin will know that this will be his first real test of the tournament. The Belgian has cruised through all the rounds and he will know that he is now facing an opponent who has the potential to beat him. That being said, David Goffin is a class player and he should expect to win.
All in all, I am going to predict that David Goffin will win. The Belgian is the better player and I think Stefanos Tsitsipas’s lack of experience will cost him in this encounter. We are getting a good price to wager on David Goffin winning so that is the bet which I am going to suggest.
