Denis Istomin and Andy Murray meet Saturday in the Miami Masters.

Denis Istomin beat Borna Coric in three sets in the first round, showing great fight after dropping the first set. Istomin did a great job with his service game in the final two sets and has to be confident after beating a top-50 player. However, Istomin has not been in great form recently, as he came to Miami losing seven of his last eight matches, winning just one match overall since the Australian Open. Istomin has had a really up-and-down career and has really struggled in bigger tournaments, so anything after his first round victory should be considered a bonus for the 29-year-old. Istomin has made it out of the second round in the Miami Masters just once, which took place in 2014.

Andy Murray received a bye in the first round and will be eager to bounce back from a tough loss to Federico Delbonis in the Indian Wells Masters. Murray has had a really light schedule since his finals loss in the Australian Open, getting some doubles work in and trying to keep his body fresh for the bigger tournaments. Murray has had great success in Miami, winning the tournament twice and appearing in four finals overall. Murray will look to trim his unforced errors and finish points off quickly. Murray has made at least the quarterfinals of the Miami Masters in each of the last four years.

These two have played twice, and Murray has won both meetings. The last match took place in the 2013 US Open, a match Murray won in four sets. This will be the third time Istomin and Murray meet on hard court.

This should be a quick match for Murray, as Istomin is in terrible form despite his victory in the first round. Murray makes light work and wins in straight sets.
