Hsieh Su-wei and Dominika Cibulkova meet in the fourth round of the 2018 tennis Wimbledon.

Hsieh Su-wei is coming off a three sets win over Simona Halep that took 31 games to decide. In the victory, Su-wei won 54 percent of her first serve points and 54 percent of her second serve points. Su-wei pulled off the upset of the tournament by beating the top ranked player in the world and breaking her seven times. However, while taking nothing away from her, Su-wei did have 36 unforced errors and won just 54 percent of her total service points. So, while the win is impressive on paper, and she now has three career wins over top-10 players, Su-wei has to play much better if she’s going to advance yet again. Su-wei has a shot at her first ever grand slam quarterfinal. Su-wei is 0-2 in previous fourth round grand slam matches. Su-wei has won five of her last six matches on grass court.

Dominika Cibulkova is coming off a straight sets win over Elise Mertens that took 16 games to decide. In the victory, Cibulkova won 81 percent of her first serve points and 48 percent of her second serve points. Cibulkova won 64 percent of her total service points and was broken just once despite facing seven break points. Cibulkova has yet top drop a set this tournament and the confidence continues to build for the fiery 29-year-old. When Cibulkova is feeling herself and hitting her spots, she’s one of the more underrated players in the draw and capable of pulling off some upsets. Cibulkova has a shot at her eighth career grand slam quarterfinal and first since the 2016 Wimbledon. Cibulkova has won four of her last five matches on grass court.

These two have played twice and Cibulkova has won both meetings in straight sets. The most recent match was in the 2017 Australian Open.

Su-wei has to play better and cleaner tennis if she’s going to win another match in this tournament. I said before her last match, Cibulkova is a confident, fiery player who is tough to break when she’s oozing with positivity. Right now, she’s in one of those zones. Cibulkova has a real chance to steamroll her way though this match.

Cibulkova makes the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon.
