We have reached the second round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto where the final 32 players will fight it out. At this stage of the tournament, Juan Martín del Potro will play his first match as he was given a bye in the round of 64 due to his high seeding. He will be taking on Dutch superstar, Robin Haase. Both players are very talented and will be determined to win so we should be able to witness a very high-quality tennis match.

Juan Martín del Potro had a disappointing day in Mexico as he lost the final of the ATP Los Cabos tournament. The Argentine had played very well all tournament only to finish second behind Fabio Fognini. While the loss would have been disappointing, the deep run showed that Juan Martín del Potro is in good form and he will look to continue that form in this tournament. This is not the easiest first round of 32 draw but Juan Martín del Potro is a very good player and should feel that he can win.
On the other side of the coin, Robin Haase will feel good heading into this match. The Dutch superstar had a strong win in the opening round of this tournament and will feel that he can continue his good form in this match. It has been a frustrating few months for Robin Haase as he has been playing really well but has not won any titles. This Dutch player will hope that he can turn his form into a title in this tournament.

Having said all that, I am still going to side with Juan Martín del Potro. The Argentine is the better player and I think he is going to be too strong for Robin Haase. This should be a close contest but I expect Juan Martín del Potro to use his skill and experience to get the job done.
