Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Dutch superstar, Kiki Bertens has made the quarterfinals of the 2018 WTA Korea Open where she will be playing against Evgeniya Rodina from Russia.

Evgeniya Rodina beat Kirsten Flipkens in the second round and that victory won her a place in this match. In that win, Rodina received serve exceptionally well as she managed to win 6 non-service games. Evgeniya Rodina displayed great defensive abilities as she used the baseline very well. That being said, Evgeniya Rodina had some issues with her serve as the Russian had a first serve percentage of only 57%. This is something that Evgeniya Rodina will have to improve since she should not expect to break serve as many times when playing Kiki Bertens.

On the other side of the court, Kiki Bertens continued her dominance of this tournament as she won her second round match with ease in straight sets. Bertens is the number 2 seed for this tournaments and she has been proving that all tournament. In her last win, Bertens broke her opponents serve on 5 occasions and complimented that with solid serving as she won 71% of her points from the first serve. It has been a very good few weeks for Kiki Bertens as she played well at the US Open and won the Cincinnati Masters. With such a good run behind her, Kiki Bertens will be very hard to beat in this tournament.

This will be the firsts time that Evgeniya Rodina and Kiki Bertens will be meeting at a WTA event.

All in all, I am going to pick Kiki Bertens to win this match. Bertens is playing some incredible tennis and looks in amazing form. With such a good run of form on her side, I see Kiki Bertens getting the win and making the semifinals of this tournament.
