Tennis | Leonardo Mayer vs Lucas Pouille
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

French superstar, Lucas Pouille is the number 16 seed at the 2018 Cincinnati Masters. He will be taking on Leonardo Mayer from Argentina in the second round of the tournament where both players will look to make it into the final 16. This is a big event for both players and they will both be desperate to ensure they perform well. This should mean that we will be able to watch a great tennis match.

Lucas Pouille had a huge win in the opening round as he eliminated Scottish superstar, Andy Murray. The French player fought very hard in that match and beat the former grand slam winner in 3 sets. That win would have given Lucas Pouille tons of confidence which was much needed for the French superstar as he has failed to make any deep runs since the time of the French Open. With the US Open starting soon, Lucas Pouille will be desperate to get some wins under his belt and this tournament will be a great chance for him to do that.

On the other hand, Leonardo Mayer will look to cash in on some good form. The Argentine made it to the final of the German Open not long ago and he has looked in terrific form since that event. The opening round win was also convincing and it seems like Leonardo Mayer is hitting the ball very well. This will be another challenge for Leonardo Mayer since he is playing a top player but he will be confident that he is good enough.

All in all, I am going to predict that Leonardo Mayer will win this match. The Argentine is in the best form of his life and I think he will be good enough to win. This should be a close match since both players are very evenly matched and I expect this match to go all three sets.
