Tennis | Jan-Lennard Struff vs Marco Cecchinato
Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Marco Cecchinato will begin his ATP Winston-Salem open in the second round after getting a first-round bye due to his high seeding. The Italian superstar will take on Jan-Lennard Struff from Germany. Both of these players are very exciting to watch and it should be a great contest as they face each other.

Marco Cecchinato established himself in tennis history earlier this year as he established himself as the first player from Sicily to win an ATP tour event. The Italian has been in amazing form this season and although he only has one ATP title, he has made multiple deep runs and shot up the ATP rankings. That being said, It has been a quiet North American season fro Marco Cecchinato as he has not won a single match. The Italian will be desperate to change this in this tournament since he will want to get some form before the start of the US Open. In addition to that, this tournament is missing many of the top names and as the number 4 seed, Marco Cecchinato will see this as a great chance to win another ATP title. This should ensure we see a very focused and determined Marco Cecchinato.

Jan-Lennard Struff will look to beat one of the top-seeded players. The German looked good in his first round match as he beat the talented Benoit Paire in straight sets. Struff was hitting the ball with great power and if he can maintain his accuracy, he can cause great problems for his opponent. This will be a tougher match than the opening round match for Jan-Lennard Struff and he will need to play well if he wishes to win.

While both players are very good, I am going to pick Marco Cecchinato to win. The player from Sicily has been better this year and I am expecting him to get some form going in North America.
