Canadian tennis player, Milos Raonic has made it into the third round at Wimbledon. Milos Raonic will now play against Reilly Opelka from the United States.

Reilly Opelka had a big win in the previous round as he defeated Stan Wawrinka in a 5 set marathon. It was a very tough match where both Opelka and Wawrinka played extremely well. During the win, Reilly Opelka served extremely well. Opelka hit 23 aces which aided him in winning close to 70% of his service points. Opelka 93% of his service games and 3 return games to defeat a very accomplished opponent.

At 6ft11in, Reilly Opelka has one of the most dangerous serves in tennis. Opelka has made it very tough for players to return his serve on grass and that should be evident in this match.

On the other side of the coin, Milos Raonic enters this match having defeated Robin Haase in straight sets in the previous round. Raonic won 2 sets via tiebreakers and the second set 7-5. Raonic served exceptionally well during the match as he hit 31 aces which allowed him to win 80% of his service points. Raonic won 94% of his service games.

Milos Raonic has an outstanding record at Wimbledon has he made the final of this tournament in 2016. Raonic has been in good form prior to this tournament as he made the semifinal of the Stuttgart Open and the quarterfinal of the Queen’s Club Championship.

This will be the first time that Milos Raonic and Reilly Opelka will be playing each other at an ATP event.

While Reilly Opeka has been outstanding in this tournament I see him losing this match. Both players are in fine form but Raonic has the added experience of making deep runs at Wimbledon. Experience is often vital in Grand Slam events and I see Milos Raonic using his advantage to defeat Reilly Opelka.
