Serbian tennis superstar Novak Djokovic is set to continue his 2019 ATP Finals campaign on Tuesday. Djokovic will play against Dominic Thiem from Austria.

Dominic Thiem had a very impressive win in the previous round as he defeated Roger Federer in straight sets. During the win, Thiem impressed with his receiving as he won close to 40% of his receiving points which allowed him to break his opponent’s serve on 3 occasions. The serving was also strong from Dominic Thiem has he only lost 1 service game in the entire match. It has been a strong few months for Dominic Thiem as he recently won the Vienna Open and the China Open. Despite his current form, Thiem must play his best tennis if he wishes to challenge Novak Djokovic.

Looking at Novak Djokovic, the Serbian superstar was outstanding during the opening round as he won his match in straight sets. It was a dominant display by Djokovic as he only lost 3 games in the entire match. During the win, Djokovic won 88% of his service games and 5 return games. The receiving was especially impressive as Djokovic won 58% of his service games. Djokovic has been in supreme touch as he won the Paris Masters last week. Considering his recent form, Novak Djokovic will be confident as he enters this match.

Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem have played each other 9 times in the past. Djokovic has won on 6 occasions while Thiem has won 3 times. The most recent match between these two players was earlier in the season at the French Open where Thiem won in 5 sets. While Thiem has recently dominated Djokovic on clay, the Austrian is yet to defeat the Serbian superstar on hard court.

Both Thiem and Djokovic are in outstanding form so this is expected to be a terrific contest. As far as a winner is concerned, I am going to pick Novak Djokovic. On hard court, Djokovic is the stronger player and he seems to be in outstanding touch. This should be a close contest but I see Djokovic having enough to get the victory.
