Novak Djokovic and Marin Cilic meet in the round robin stages of the 2018 tennis ATP Finals.

Novak Djokovic is coming off a straight sets win over Alexander Zverev that took 17 games to decide. In the victory, Djokovic won 75 percent of his first serve points and 70 percent of his second serve points. Djokovic won 73 percent of his total service points and saved both of his break points. Djokovic hasn’t dropped a set this tournament and hasn’t been broken, while he’s produced six breaks against some of the better servers in the game. Overall, Djokovic has lost just two matches since winning the tournament in Cincinnati, and he should be head and shoulders the favorite to leave London with a title as well. Djokovic has won six of his last seven matches on indoor hard court.

Marin Cilic is coming off a three sets win over John Isner that took 32 games to decide. In the victory, Cilic won 89 percent of his first serve points and 56 percent of his second serve points. Cilic won 75 percent of his total service points and saved four of his five break points. Cilic showed great fight after dropping a first set tiebreak and managed to give himself 11 break points. Cilic could have easily folded in his last match, especially with him losing six of his last nine matches overall. Cilic showed he’s not going to go down easily, and he will be an even tougher out if he continues to serve the way he did in the final two sets of his second match win. Cilic has split his last six matches on indoor hard court.

These two have played 18 times and Djokovic has won 16 of those matches. The most recent match was in this years Paris Masters, a match Djokovic won in three sets. Each of the last three matches shave gone the distance.

When you combine the current form of Djokovic and the glaring one-sided history between Djokovic and Cilic, there’s only way to bet this match.

I’ll take Djokovic in straight sets.
