Nadal has won back-to-back straight sets matches and is coming off a performance in which he won 66 percent of his service points and had just 18 unforced errors. As long as Nadal limits the silly mistakes and can hold serve rather easily, he’s going to make another deep grand slam run. The defensive effort is always there with the Spaniard. It was an overall really impressive performance from de Minaur, and he was also able to take advantage of his opponents 70 unforced errors. This is easily the deepest de Minaur has been in grand slam play, and while he’s playing with house money here, a victory over Nadal would certainly be the biggest win yet for the 19-year-old. de Minaur hopes to make the fourth round of a grand slam for the first time in his career. de Minaur has never beaten a top-10 player in his career. de Minaur has won four of his last six matches on grass court.

de Minaur deserves props for getting to the third round of a grand slam considering he just turned 19 years a few months ago. The experience in this tournament is going to help de Minaur take his career to the next level at such a young age. But, that run comes to an end here. Nadal is playing too well and the experience alone will get him through this match. de Minaur is sure to hit a lot of unforced errors due to the nerves, and young players rarely show up against legends they grew up watching. There’s levels to this.
Nadal wins in straight sets.
