The Line: -- Over/Under:
Richard Gasquet and Nick Kyrgios meet in the fourth round of the 2015 Wimbledon.
Richard Gasquet is coming off a straight sets victory over Grigor Dimitrov, which lasted under two hours. Gasquet has yet to lose a set this tournament and is winning at least 80 percent of his first serve points. Gasquet is winning at least 52 of his second serve points and has 75 winners in his first three matches. Gasquet has also combined for just 23 unforced errors in his last two matches. Gasquet has really struggled with his form the last couple of years, but he’s been really sharp this tournament and has played less than five hours of tennis so far. Gasquet hasn’t surpassed the fourth round of a grand slam since the 2013 U.S. Open. Gasquet has made it out of the fourth round at the Wimbledon just once, which was in 2007.
Nick Kyrgios is fresh off a four set match against Milos Raonic, which finished in just under three hours. Kyrgios has lost just one set this tournament and is winning at least 80 percent of his first serve points. Kyrgios is winning at least 60 percent of his second serve points and has combined for 100 winners in his last two matches. Kyrgios has hit 50 aces in his last two matches and just 26 unforced errors during that span, as well. Kyrgios has been a serving machine as usual and will remain tough to beat as long as his service game remains in the insane category. Kyrgios has never lost in the fourth round of a grand slam. However, Kyrgios has made it out of the fourth round of a grand slam just twice.
These two have played three times in the past, and Gasquet has won two of those meetings. The most recent match was in this year’s Millennium Estoril Open, a match Gasquet won in straight sets. Kyrgios only victory over Gasquet was in last year’s Wimbledon, a match that went the distance. This is the second time the two will play on grass.
Gasquet has given Kyrgios trouble in his young career. However, I find it very difficult to pick against Kyrgios when his service game is on, as he can always dig out of a situation.
