Roberto Bautista Agut and Sam Querrey meet in the round of 32 at the 2016 Queen's Club Championships.

Roberto Bautista Agut is coming off a fourth round appearance in the French Open and will double dip in thistorunament with his partner Kevin Anderson. Bautista Agut has been hit or miss this season with wins in 10 of his last 16 matches. However, it’s important to note that two of Bautista Agut last three losses have come at the hands of Novak Djokovic. Still, Bautista Agut has to be more consistent with his service game and build some confidence before heading into the Wimbledon, a tournament in which he’s made progress over the years. Bautista Agut has split his last eight matches on grass.

Sam Querrey is coming off a semifinal appearance in the Ricoh Open and hopes to build off that success. Querrey was in a real slump heading into last week but put together some consistent victories despite not beating a single player ranked inside the top-100. Querrey has split his last 10 matches overall but is on a four-match losing streak if you take away his run at the Ricoh Open. Querrey has to find that consistent play again and become the dominant server he has been in the past. If Querrey is serving a high percentage, he can get back on track and make a run in more tournaments. Querrey has won 10 of his last 16 matches on grass.

These two have played once in the past, which was in the 2015 Madrid Masters,  match Bautista Agut won in straight sets. The match took 22 games to decide.

The problem with Querrey is that he beats up on subpar players but has struggled against quality players. During Querrey’s struggles, he hasn’t even been that competitive against decent guys ranked in the top-50 or so.

Bautista Agut should be able to win this match in straight sets.
