Swiss tennis superstar, Roger Federer has made it into the fourth round of the 2019 ATP Indian Wells Open in California. At this stage of the tournament, Roger Federer will play against Kyle Edmund from the United Kingdom.
It has been a very good tournament for Kyle Edmund as he has won both of his matches in straight sets. In the previous round, Kyle Edmund beat Radu Albot. During the win, Kyle Edmund returned serve exceptionally well as he won 48% of his return points. Kyle Edmund won 4 break points which allowed him to win both of the sets with ease. Kyle Edmund won the Oracle Challenger Event at Indian Wells prior to this tournament meaning that the Brit is very comfortable with the settings.

On the other side of the coin, Roger Federer won his previous match with ease as he beat Stan Wawrinka in straight sets. It was a dominant display by the Swiss Master as Federer beat a former Grand Slam winner. During the victory, Federer won all of his service games while breaking Wawrinka’s serve twice. Federer has been in exceptional form as he won ATP Dubai prior to arriving at Indian Wells. With good form on his side, Roger Federer will be very tough to stop in this tournament.

This will be the first time that Roger Federer and Kyle Edmund will be playing each other at an ATP event.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Roger Federer to win this match and qualify for the quarterfinals. Federer is a much better player when compared to Kyle Edmund. Federer has an exceptional record at Indian Wells considering he has won the title on 5 times in the past. With that in mind, I see Roger Federer winning this match with some ease.

Roger Federer
