Simona Halep will be in action in the second round of WTA Madrid where she will be taking on Belgian tennis superstar, Elise Mertens. This is a game between two top-level tennis players and I am expecting a really strong and exciting match.

Simona Halep is the top-seeded player in this competition and she will be hoping to get another WTA title. The Romanian is a class player and she showed that in her first-round win. This will be a much tougher test for her since she is up against a much tougher opponent. It has been a very frustrating 2018 for Simona Halep since she has been in great form but has failed to win any titles and I am sure that she will be looking to turn things around soon.

On the other side of the court, Elise Mertens has really established herself in 2018. The Belgian is full of talent and after a very impressive Australian Open, she is looking very promising. This tennis match will be a big test for her since she is facing one of the best female tennis players in the world. That being said, I think we will see Elise Mertens fight and put up a really strong display.

All in all, I am expecting Simona Halep to win. She is the better player and I think her experience will be enough to get her a win. Having said that, I am expecting a closely fought match with Elise Mertens winning a set. Due to that reason, I think the best wager in this match is the over 2.5 sets. This is the best-looking wager and any sized stake will make sense.
