The top seed in the women’s draw at Wimbledon in Simona Halep. The Romanian is the current world number 1 and entered this tournament having one grand slam before which was the French Open that she won a month ago. Confidence is high for the 26-year-old tennis superstar and she has shown that by making the third round of the competition. In this round, she will be taking on Taiwanese player, Hsieh Su-wei. Both players will know how important it is to win this match so I am expecting a great tennis match between two top competitors.
Hsieh Su-wei is best known for her success in doubles tennis as she has reached world number 1 in doubles. While singles isn’t the strength for the Taiwanese superstar, she has managed to have some good results in the past. At 32, Hsieh Su-wei is at the peak of her career and she showed her talent in the opening two rounds as she only dropped one set in total. Hsieh Su-wei was especially dominant in her second round match which she won in straight set and she will look to display a similar performance against Simona Halep in this match. It will be tough for Hsieh Su-wei to win this match since Simona Halep is a very good player but the Taiwanese player has shown a fighting spirit which could cause the world number 1 some trouble.
On the other side of the court, Simona Halep has been very good for the past few months. The Romanian won the French Open and has not lost a match for over 1 month. This is very impressive and she looks like she is going to be very hard to beat. Simona Halep won both her opening round matches in straight sets and it looks like she is on a different level compared to the other players. This match should be another easy win for Simona Halep because she is simply too good for Hsieh Su-wei to compete. We are not getting the best price to bet on Simona Halep to win but betting on the under 2.5 sets is good wager since I don’t see Hsieh Su-wei winning a set.
