Venus Williams vs Danielle Collins 28 March 2018: WTA Miami Preview and Predictions

Venus Williams will be in action in Miami as she takes on Danielle Collins in the quarterfinals of WTA Miami. This is a big game for both players meaning that we should be able to witness some top quality tennis.

Danielle Collins in a Florida native meaning that she will feel at home in this tournament. The American is in some good form having had deep runs in many of her previous tournaments. This will be the biggest game for her since she will be facing one of the best female tennis players in the world. A win here will be massive for Danielle Collins and I am expecting a committed performance from the 24-year-old American.

On the other side of the court, Venus Williams will look to have a big win and continue her momentum forward into the semifinals. Williams is currently 37 years old and closer to the end of career meaning that she will look to win as many titles as possible. Having lost in the semifinals in her last tournament, the former Grand Slam champion will look to go better in this tournament. Venus Williams is the better player and if she plays well, she should win easily.

I am going to predict that Venus Williams wins this tournament. Venus is in great form and she will hope that she can get results from it so I am expecting a solid win from her. As far as betting is concerned, we are not getting a great price on Williams to win outright and due to that reason, we should avoid that wager. The best bet in the under 2.5 sets. Williams is the much better player and I don’t see her losing a set to Collins.
