The Line: -- Over/Under:
Japanese tennis player, Yoshihito Nishioka will play against Miomir Kecmanović from Serbia in the fourth round of the 2019 ATP Indian Wells Open.
Miomir Kecmanović beat the number 30 seed, Laslo Dere, in the previous round. It has been an exceptional tournament for Miomir Kecmanović as he has made it into the last 16 after gaining entry into the event via the qualifiers. In the win against Dere, Kecmanović impressed with his impressed with his returning as he won 44% of his return points which allowed him to break Laslo Dere’s serve on 4 occasions. Miomir Kecmanović also served well as he won 63% of his service points which resulted in him winning 80% of his service games. Miomir Kecmanović is a regular of the Challenger scene so making the fourth round of an ATP Masters will be massive for the Serb.
On the other side of the coin, Yoshihito Nishioka won his previous match in 3 sets. Yoshihito Nishioka lost the opening set via a tiebreaker but fought back strongly to win the final 2 sets and the match. During the win, Yoshihito Nishioka won 76% of his service games and broke his opponents serve on 5 occasions. Yoshihito Nishioka has had a decent season as he made the quarterfinals of the Sydney International in January. This is a big match for Yoshihito Nishioka as he has never made the quarterfinals of a Masters tournament. It is important to note that Nishioka made the fourth round of the Indian Wells Open in 2017 so he has experience of playing in this kind of a match.
This will be the first time that Yoshihito Nishioka and Miomir Kecmanović will be playing each other.
While Miomir Kecmanović has had an incredible run, I am going to side against him and pick Yoshihito Nishioka to win. Nishioka is a stronger player and his experience from making the fourth round of this tournament in 2017 will be vital.
