The Dallas Wings and Atlanta Dream meet Saturday in WNBA action at the McCamish Pavilion.
The Dallas Wings need a win here to snap a six-game losing streak and get back to a .500 record. The Dallas Wings are averaging 87.3 points on 45 percent shooting and allowing 84 points on 43.8 percent shooting. Elizabeth Cambage is averaging 23 points and 9.6 rebounds while Skylar Diggins-Smith is averaging 18 points and six assists. Allisha Gray is dishing 2.5 assists and Azura Stevens is grabbing 4.6 rebounds. The Dallas Wings are shooting 30.2 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free throw line. The Dallas Wings are allowing 34.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.7 rebounds per game. The Dallas Wings have lost three straight road games.
The Atlanta Dream look to keep the ball rolling after winning 12 of their last 13 games. The Atlanta Dream are averaging 80.5 points on 42.3 percent shooting and allowing 78.8 points on 41.9 percent shooting. Tiffany Hayes is averaging 17.7 points and 3.3 rebounds while Angel McCoughtry is averaging 16.5 points and three assists. Renee Montgomery is dishing 3.6 assists and Brittney Sykes is grabbing 3.6 rebounds. The Atlanta Dream are shooting 30.3 percent from beyond the arc and 74.8 percent from the free throw line. The Atlanta Dream are allowing 32.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.3 rebounds per game. The Atlanta Dream have won eight of their last nine home games.
The Wings are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss, 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up loss and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Dream are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games, 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games and 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Wings are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Atlanta and the over is 23-6 in the last 29 meetings.
The Atlanta Dream are on such a role that betting against them at this point seems stupid. Even with McCoughtry out for the year, the Dream continue to get production elsewhere and remain the hottest team in the league. The Dallas Wings are the opposite of the Dream right now, as they've lost six straight, have gotten blown out often and now Liz Cambage is questionable with a concussion. Getting the Dream and somewhat reasonable chalk seems almost too easy based on the form of both clubs. I'll take the home team.
