The Seattle Storm and Connecticut Sun meet Friday in WNBA action at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
The Seattle Storm look to keep the ball rolling after winning nine of their last 11 games. Breanna Stewart is averaging 22.9 points and 8.2 rebounds while Jewell Loyd is averaging 15.7 points and 3.9 assists. The Seattle Storm are allowing 34.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.4 rebounds per game. The Seattle Storm have won four of their last five road games.
The Connecticut Sun could use a bounce back victory here after losing four of their last six games. The Connecticut Sun are averaging 86 points on 44.9 percent shooting and allowing 82 points on 44.1 percent shooting. Chiney Ogwumike is averaging 14.8 points and 7.5 rebounds while Courtney Williams is averaging 12.8 points and 2.9 assists. The Storm are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games, 2-5 ATS in their last 7 Friday games and 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Sun are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 Friday games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Storm are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Connecticut and the under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Connecticut.
I had to double check to make sure the Seattle Storm weren't missing any key players, as this line is just nuts. The Storm are by far the better and more consistent team both SU and ATS, and they have won the last two games against the Sun by a combined 25 points. The Storm are outscoring teams by 7.6 points while averaging more than 90 points in their last five games, and they're 7-4 ATS in their last 11 games as an undrdog. The Connecticut Sun have been horrible for the last few weeks and have failed to cover each of their last four games as a favorite. This feels too easy, but I rarely turn down free points or plus money with the better team.
