The Las Vegas Aces and Dallas Wings meet Friday in WNBA action at the College Park Center.
The Las Vegas Aces need a victory to stay in the playoff race after splitting their last eight games. The Las Vegas Aces are averaging 84.1 points on 44 percent shooting and allowing 86.2 points on 44.6 percent shooting. A'ja Wilson is averaging 20.3 points and 8.2 rebounds while Kayla McBride is averaging 18.7 points and 3.3 assists. Tamera Young is the third double-digit scorer and Kelsey Plum is dishing 3.9 assists. The Las Vegas Aces are shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 77.4 percent from the free throw line. The Las Vegas Aces are allowing 35.2 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 37.1 rebounds per game. The Las Vegas Aces have split their last six road games.
The Dallas Wings also need a victory here in order to snap a nine-game losing streak. The Dallas Wings are averaging 86.6 points on 44.3 percent shooting and allowing 84.9 points on 44.3 percent shooting. Elizabeth Cambage is averaging 22.8 points and 9.7 rebounds while Skylar Diggins-Smith is averaging 18.2 points and 6.2 assists. Allisha Gray is dishing 2.4 assists and Azura Stevens is grabbing 4.6 rebounds. The Dallas Wings are shooting 30.5 percent from beyond the arc and 78.7 percent from the free throw line. The Dallas Wings are allowing 35.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 36.7 rebounds per game. The Dallas Wings have lost four straight home games.
The Aces are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 Friday games, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 vs. Western Conference. The Wings are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. Western Conference, 6-14 ATS in their last 20 Friday games and 0-9 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Aces are 12-4-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings in Dallas, 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings and under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Dallas.
This game will pretty much decide who gets that last spot for a playoff berth. The Wings should have the edge given that they're at home and have Cambage back on the court. The problem is the Wings are still riding a nine-game winning streak and are being outscored by 10.8 points in their last five games. The Wings aren't playing a lick of defense. The Las Vegas Aces have also thrived on the road this season as an underdog. So, while I wouldn't be shocked if Dallas won here, the value is with the Aces and the free bucket.
