The Minnesota Lynx and Dallas Wings meet Saturday in WNBA action at the College Park Center.
The Minnesota Lynx look to build on their impressive 2-0 start when they take to the road for the first time this season. The Minnesota Lynx are averaging 80.5 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowing 66 points on 38.2 percent shooting. Napheesa Collier is averaging 18 points and five rebounds while Odyssey Sims is averaging 13 points and five assists. Sylvia Fowles is the third double-digit scorer and Danielle Robinson is grabbing three rebounds. The Minnesota Lynx are shooting 32.4 percent from beyond the arc and 74.5 percent from the free throw line. The Minnesota Lynx are allowing 17.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43 rebounds per game. The Minnesota Lynx have split their last six road games.
The Dallas Wings look for their first win of the season after losing to the Atlanta Dram more than a week ago. The Dallas Wings are averaging 72 points on 35.1 percent shooting and allowing 76 points on 42.9 percent shooting. Allisha Gray is averaging 14 points and four assists while Arike Ogunbowale is averaging 12 points and three rebounds. Brooke McCarty-Williams is dishing eight assists and Kayla Thornton is grabbing six rebounds. The Dallas Wings are shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 75 percent from the free throw line. The Dallas Wings are allowing 28.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42 rebounds per game. The Dallas Wings have lost four of their last five home games.
The Lynx are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 2 days rest, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win and 35-17-2 ATS in their last 54 Saturday games. The Wings are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games, 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 vs. Western Conference and 3-12-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Lynx are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Dallas. The over is 27-11 in Wings last 38 Saturday games. The under is 19-7 in Lynx last 26 overall.
The Minnesota Lynx have probably been the most impressive team through two games, as that defense has been aggressive and has given up nothing easy. Playing on the road always tells us more about a team, but the Lynx show early signs that they're going to be just fine. The Dallas Wings are well rested, but I'm not sure what to make of them without their top-two players from last season and the offense really had issues in their season opener. It may take some time to adjust. I trust the Lynx in this spot based on what they've shown us this past week.
