The Washington Mystics are allowing 33.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 32.4 rebounds per game. The Washington Mystics have won six of their last eight road games.
The Seattle Storm are in their third WNBA Finals and are fresh off a five-game series against the Phoenix Mercury. The Seattle Storm are averaging 87 points on 46.4 percent shooting and allowing 80.5 points on 44.2 percent shooting. Breanna Stewart is averaging 22 points and 8.6 rebounds while Jewell Loyd is averaging 15.8 points and 3.8 assists. The Seattle Storm are allowing 32.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 35.4 rebounds per game. The Seattle Storm have won seven straight home games.
The Mystics are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Friday games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Storm are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest, 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 vs. Eastern Conference and 16-7-1 ATS in their last 24 games overall. The Mystics are 4-0-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
The home team has won six straight and eight of the last 10 meetings between the Mystics and Storm, and most of those games weren't close. The Mystics are playing quality basketball right now and have the offensive firepower to hang with the Storm, but I'm not sure the defensive effort is there. The Storm grew up big time in that series against the Mercury and that physical, close series is sure to help them. The Mystics will struggle getting stops on the road against the Storm, which is why I'll lay the reasonable chalk in game one of an interesting series.
