The Parramatta Eels take on the Manly Sea Eagles in the first game of Saturday’s NRL action. The Eels coming off a 34-6 dismantling of the Brisbane Broncos while Manly are coming off a 32-6 victory over the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Parramatta have been very impressive on both sides of the ball in their first 3 games of the season. Scoring a total of 88 points while allowing just 14 which ranks #1 in both categories. Finding the perfect balance between attacking weapons and big bodies to do the dirty work in the ruck the Eels have been impressive. Some might argue they have not really played any significant completion yet with two wins over the cellar dwelling Bulldogs and Titans with their third win coming against a severely depleted Broncos roster they will no doubt be tested in this game.

Manly are expected to come into this game unchanged from the team that put away the Bulldogs with ease. Tom Trbojevic was instrumental in the win with two early tries and plenty of classy touches. Apart from the big win against the Bulldogs, Manly have struggled against elite defences managing just 4 points vs Melbourne and 9 points vs the Roosters. Defence has helped them remain competitive but they will need to hope last week’s confidence offensively can transfer into this contest.

Tricky line in this match but I am going to lean on the under. This game feels like it has all of the makings for a dogfight with scoring opportunities at a minimum
