In Saturday NRL action we see the South Sydney Rabbitohs take on the Gold Coast Titans at Bankwest Stadium.
The Gold Coast Titans are fresh off their first win of the season against the Wests Tigers. Rabbitohs are coming off a mistake-riddled performance against the Storm and will look to get back in the win column here.
Rabbitohs were held in check by Melbourne last week largely due to fundamental errors. As a team they managed an impressive 45 tackle breaks but only 1468 post contact metres and a total of 18 turnovers. Representative rake Damien Cook lead the team with 57 tackles while Campbell Graham punched his way through the line once and recorded 168 run meters to lead the offense. Despite seemingly having the upper hand over the first quarter of the game, South Sydney failed to convert opportunities into points.
The Titans are coming off their first win of the season, a grandstand finish against the Wests Tigers. Gold Coast found themselves trailing by double digits multiple times in this contest and it looked over when Tigers kicked a field goal with just a couple of minutes left. Gold Coast managed to force a turnover in the dying stages before running in a try in the corner. Until this point, it had been over 300 days since the Titans had tasted victory.
Considerable line here to lay with a team currently at 1-3, however, there is a significant gap in the rosters of these two teams. Although the Rabbitohs have underperformed, they have faced the cream of the crop in the league and I really like them to take out their frustrations on the lowly Titans in this spot.
