Saturday NRL action sees the undefeated Newcastle Knights take on the Melbourne Storm at Central Coast Stadium.
Knights are coming off an impressive performance over the Canberra Raiders while the Storm convincingly accounted for the South Sydney Roosters.
It did not take very long for the Knights to draw blood in their contest vs the Raiders. The boys in the blue in red jumped out to a 10-point lead very quickly. Canberra did their best to try and mount a comeback but their efforts were in vain. Rookie centre Bradman Best had a great game with two tries and an impressive assist. Kalyn Ponga added another try and led the team in run meters with 278 while Edrick Lee scored two tries and had two line breaks against his former side.
Storm had an impressive second half in their defeat of the Rabbitohs. Cameron Smith lead the team in tackles with 43 while Ryan Papenhuyzen topped the run metres with 210. Alarmingly the storm missed a total of 45 tackles but had the pressure valve lifted by forcing the Rabbitohs into errors. Storm completed 73% of their possessions, which is still not up to their usual standards.
Tricky number here in this one but I have to take the Knights with the points. I will like this play a lot more if I can get it over 4 closer to game time though. The knights have been impressive so far this season and I have not seen much I like from Melbourne when in possession of the ball. Knights should be able to stay competitive and are decent money at winning this game outright.
