The first game on Sunday’s NRL slate sees the Canterbury Bulldogs take on the rampaging Sydney Roosters. This game will be played at Bankwest Stadium with the line set at an extraordinary 14 points in favour of the Roosters.
Roosters annihilated the Broncos in round 4 by a final margin of 59-0. As a team they managed 10 line breaks and 44tackle breaks in the win with 9 different players registering a try and halfback Kyle Flanagan adding 9/10 conversions. James Tedesco was a late omission due to Covid-19 protocols, which saw Brett Morris, take over the fullback roll. Lindsay Collins registered 272 run metres through the middle and as a team, they were only required to make 283 tackles.
Bulldogs played well in their last game against the Dragons holding them to only 2 points. Bulldogs had 55% of possession and completed 86% of their sets. What was impressive is they limited a solid Dragons offense to just 1 line break and 378 combined post contact meters. Their speed around the play the ball will be a focus as well trying to create second phase play off their forward pack.
Not a game this week I really love but I will have to side with the Roosters to keep rolling. They looked good over the Rabbitohs in week 3 but looked incredible in their round 4 game vs the Broncos. Hard to get in front of them when they are rolling along
