Friday NRL action sees the Warriors and the Rabbitohs looking to string together consecutive wins.
Warriors coming off an upset win over the Cowboys while the Rabbitohs accounted for the Titans without too much concern.
Warriors put together 7 tries in the win over the Cowboys. Peter Hiku crossed the line in the 35th, 55th and 64th minute as the Warriors ran riot after failing to score on the Panthers the week prior. As a team, they amassed 1880 run metres, 704 post contact metres and a solid 25 tackle breaks while completing 87% of their sets. Tohu Harris topped the tackle count with 42 while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck topped the team in run metres with 216. Repeat sets and high completion rates have been the cornerstone of the Warriors successes this season.
Rabbitohs are coming off a much-needed boost belting the Gold Coast Titans by a final score of 32-12. Dane Gagai crossed for two ties and halfback Adam Reynold had a perfect 6/6 in conversion attempts. Surprisingly the Rabbitohs only had 47% of possession but used it effectively completing 34 of their 40 sets. 36 collective tackle breaks and forcing the Titans into 16 errors made sure they made their opportunities count. Damien Cook got through 41 tackles in the middle while Tom Burgess led in run metres with 213.
The Warriors have been a rollercoaster so far this year. From recording the best completion rate in a single game in NRL history to being shut out by the Panthers then running in 37 points on a good Cowboys defence. This will be a letdown spot and the Rabbitohs easily get the win and cover I believe.
