In Saturday NRL action we see the top of the table Parramatta Eels taken on the Canberra Raiders. Both teams will be looking to bounce back in this one after coming off a loss, for Parramatta their first of the season.
Eels were in a real arm wrestle in their round 6 game against the Sydney Roosters before falling apart in the last 20mins. Eels have been the standout team so far in the early portion of the season, however, they have noticeably been troubled against higher tier opposition. Mitchell Moses will need to take ownership and call the shots if his team is going to have a chance against one of the best defences in the league.
Canberra will look to bounce back in this game after being on the wrong side of a very bruising game against Manly. Canberra struggled offensively, particularly in the first half to put pressure on Manly when deep in their own territory. Late in the second half Canberra seemingly had some momentum but two tries, both declared tries by the on-field official, were overturned. The hits were hard and numerous in this game but the silly unforced errors ultimately the difference in this one.
At a pick I would have to side with the Eels here. Raiders have been a little underwhelming over their past 3 starts. I do think this game will be low scoring though so the under is certainly worth a look. Raiders will get to Mitchell Moses and pressure him into mistakes but I feel Eels have better form over the past few weeks and will get the job done here.
