Sunday will see Cardiff host their first Premier League game and the atmosphere in the town and the stadium is sure to be electric. Facing the Champions from two years ago will be tough, Manchester City have started the season impressively and put four goals passed Newcastle last monday night. Cardiff Manager Malcolm Mackay will be looking to his experienced players like Craig Bellamy to lead his team by example on Sunday against one of his former teams. Young Frazier Campbell will look to exploit any weakness in Manchester City’s defence as they are missing captain Vincent Kompany who was hurt on Monday night and will miss a month or so. Cardiff spent alot of money in the summer bringing in Cornelius, Medel and Caulker its a gamble and the welsh side need to get results at home in order to stay up, however I think Sunday represents one of the games that Cardiff will probably have written off as a loss.
Manuel Pelligrini will be without captain Vincent Kompany after the Belgian internation hurt himself Monday night, but with a squad like Manchester City’s there shouldnt be too much disruption as the player that will replace him is a quality international. Up front Manchester City have some of the best strikers in the league, Sergio Aguero, Eden Dzeko and Negredo will provide a serious threat for Cardiff and with Samir Nasri, David Silva and Ya Ya toure pulling the strings in midfield i think Cardiff will really be up against it on Sunday.
This one on paper is a complete mismatch and at 4/9 Manchester City are a little too short to be any value, I think Manchester City can win this one by a couple of goals and I’m going to take them at 11/10 -1 on the handicap. Follow me on [email protected]
