Cyrstal Palace have lost four in a row and are sitting in the bottom two of the Premier League, that of course spells trouble and Ian Holloway has been here before all be it with Blackpool a couple of years back. He knows that the team must win games and win them soon in order to survive in this league. Its hard to see Palace getting anything from games away from home the way they are playing at the moment but one bright spark from their last game away to Liverpool was the second half performance of Gayle. The youngster came on scored and created a headache for liverpool for the entire second half. I would imagine Gayle starts with Chamakh tomorrow and Holloway looks to these to lead the line and cause problems for a Fulham defence that has actually been quite decent this year despite their lack of results. A big part of tomorrow night's game could be the crowd in Selhurt Park, Crystal Palace's fans need to create a great atmosphere and get behind their team.
Last week there was talk that Martin Jol's job was on the line but a win over Stoke seemed to have settled the neighsayers and the new boss Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan. For all those that were after Jol being sacked they should really take a look at how well Jol has done with this team, it's a limited group with a couple of superstars but Jol has them all singing off the same hymn sheet and the team has actually played quite well without getting the results that their efforts deserved. At least two of the losses suffered by Fulham were games they could and should have won. The only plce where I think Jol has failed a little is upfront Berbatov and Bent's relationship hasnt quite gelled and Bent is being used as an impact sub more often than not. This of course could be a Bent problem as the former Tottenham, Sunderland and Villa striker has had problems forming partnerships in most clubs.
This game is another one of those ones that I dont love. I think there is alot at stake for both teams and both could do with a win, Crystal palace probably need the win more and are at home but I think Fulham are the better team here. I'm going to play this one small or one unit and I am going to take the draw. I think Fulham's defence can hold Palace in check and i think likewise Palace's defence may just be able to hold Fulham at bay as well. Take the draw, follow me on twitter @antonpippo
