One of the great games in Manchester City's history happened on Tuesday night when City came from 2-0 down to beat current European Champions Bayern Munich 3-2. Goals from Silva, Kolorov and Milner were enough to turn around what appeared to be an unasailable lead. Bayern had not lost yet this season and City were in need of a confidence booster having been destroyed 3-1 at home by Munich in the first meeting of the teams. Manuel Pelligrini can now turn his attention to the Premier League and will look to Ya Ya Toure, Kompany , Zabaleta and Sergio Aguero for leadership. Manchester City have a number of superstars in their squad but their league performances this season have been up and down. They have lost four games already this year and as team have been inconsistant. Although given they are far more consistant at home than away. With a ridiculously strong squad and a front four of jovetic, Negredo, Dzeko and Aguero Manchester City have the talent to win most games against any team they play but manager Manuel Pelligrini must find the right balance in order to maintain a title challenge.
Arsenal have been the epitomy of consistancy this year, they have beaten the weaker sides they have faced and have been very difficult to beat against the better sides although they have succumbed to Manchester United in Old Trafford and dropped point against West Brom and Everton. I'm excluding the opening day loss to Aston Villa as the game would appear to be an anomaly on the part of Villa. Arsene Wenger has his side well balanced with Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshire , Cazorla and Arteta all providing the ammunition for Olivier Giroud who has been terrific so far this season. Arsenal are very solid at the back but a visit to the Ethiad will test how good this Arsenal back line really is. I felt like Arsenal would struggle in Napoli and was on the Italians as a Premium pick but to be fair to Arsenal if Arteta had not been sent off I think they would have handled Napoli and come away from Naples with a draw.
I've been a little off on my overs bets recently and generally when the bigger teams face off I look for the under but in Manchester City's case I think that's rarely a good choice. City have looked susceptible at the back and electric going forward. Six of City's seven home games have gone over the 2.5 goal mark. Four of Arsenals seven away games have gone over the mark and I think Giroud, Ozil and Ramsey will cause Manchester City's backline plenty of problems. I love the over here and I'm taking it to get the weekend off to a great start. I have a pick on the sides that i will have in the Premium Area and on the Sports Chat Place App availabe in the Apple store.
