Manchester United have been anything but good at home losing their last two league games at home, both 1-0 to Everton and Newcastle where in both games the Champions had alot of chances but could not take them. Robin Van Persie is missing for a month with a quad strain, Wayne Rooney is doubtful but Danny Wellbeck, Januzai and Chicarito will be looking to prove that United have strength in depth. The crowd at Old Trafford have been patient and there hasnt been too many rumblings when the team ha underperformed. United fans know that David Moyes job is an unenviable one ,replacing Sir Alex Ferguson is almost impossible. But that said Moyes has steered United into the knockout stages of the Champions League and the semifinal of the Carling Cup. Added to that if United win the next couple of games in the league we could see the Champions close in on the top four. But simply put Manchester United have to win this weekend.
West Ham are really struggling, Sam Allardyce can point to injuries as one of the main problems for the club as the team has been missing star players for most of the season. Andy Carroll has not played since September and Vaz Te, Downing are also out injured. Kevin Nolan is suspended and West Ham could really do with their Captain beng available. Defensively West Ham have really struggled of late losing four of their last six games in the league. Sitting just a point above the relegation zone West Ham need to start winning games.
United were impressive in beating Aston Villa last time out, a couple of first half goals by Danny Wellbeck set the tone early and United overran Villa. Defensively the team has been pretty solid conceding only two goals in the last five games. I think we see United getting back on track at home and I think they do it with a bit to spare.
