Stoke City will host Manchester United in what appears to be a cracking match up, Stoke have only lost two games at home this year to Norwich and Liverpool. Those results include a win over Chelsea and draws with Manchester City, Southampton and Everton. Mark Hughes side have proven to be a tough nut to crack at the Britannia and although they have lost four of the last five games they have only barely lost those games losing three of them 1-0, all away from home. With Peter Crouch and Johnaton Walters up front Stoke have a partnership that has proven over the years to be a handful against any team. Stephen Ireland seems to have rediscovered the form he prodcued consistantly at Manchester City and along with Charlie Adam, Nzonzi and Etherington Stoke have a formidable midfield although today Nzonzi(suspended) and Etherington(injury) are due to be absent from the line up. Mark Hughes, the former Manchester United player will be looking to pick up some points against his old team to help move Stoke away from the relegation zone.
This month represents make or breat for Manchester United and David Moyes, there are a couple of goals that must be hit. Qualification for the last eight of the Champions League and the continued march up the table in the league table as United chase qualification for the Champions League, an absolute must for a club their size. Moyes will welcome back the fit again Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie and fans of the Champions and football in general will see Mata, Rooney and Van Persie on the field together for the first time. This could be the look of Manchester United for the next few years and it is exciting times ahead.
My favourite game of the day I have two strong picks here. I'm taking United to win the game at 4/7 the price is prohibitive but I think we will see a big performance for the Champions as they chase fourth. I also love the over here as United's defence has been leaky of late and I think they concede one or maybe even two. This could be one for thr neutral to tune in for as I think we're going to see a cracking game, something maybe people dont expect from Stoke City but we should remember the cracking game between Liverpool and Stoke here a couple of weeks back.
