Last weekend Newcastle rediscovered that winning feeling when Loic Remy smashed home the winner in the 91st minute, it put an end to miserable run of three straight defeats and five straight defeats at home in St James Park. Newcastle though have been just as good away from St James Park as they have been at home winning five of their thirteen away games drawing three and losing five. The magpies though are heavily reliant on the brilliance of Remy to win them games as the team as a whole offensively have fallen apart since Christmas. The loss of Yohan Cabaye cant be underestimated as the brilliant frenchman held together the midfield and was the creative influence that perfectly complemented Tiote's powerful ball winning presence. Newcastle under Alan Pardew though have been quite adept at hitting teams on thr break this year and away games tend to give more chances like that to teams like Newcastle.
Hull City have won their last two and been really impressive in doing so. The January signings of Shane Long and Nika Jelavich look to have settled in perfectly and Steve Bruce seems to have a front two partnership that is a real threat. With both linking the play well and Huddlestone and Livermore creating opportunities from the midfield I think Hull look to have found a good balance throughout their team. One of my favourite bets of the season thus far has been the unders in Hull games, especially home games. It's hit on eleven of fifteen home games this term but I'm actually going against that trend tomorrow. I think Remy gives Newcastle a real outlet and a threat on the break and with Shane Long and Jelavich looking like a partnership capable of scoring goals I'm going to take the overs in this one at a very juicy price of 7/5.
