Aston Villa and Paul Lambert have had to dig deep this season, the team found itself in the midst of a relegation battle but in fairness to Lambert he never panicked. The scots man continued to play his game and eventually things turned around. The re-emergence of Christian Benteke has been a vital key in the revivial of Villa's fortunes as the big belgian has found the net in three of the last four games at Villa Park and with Gabby Agbonlahor and Weimann providing the width and crosses Benteke has looked back to somewhat near his best. Tomorrow he faces a Chelsea team that he has had some success against of late.
Chelsea will be looking to continue their great run in the league, a win tomorrow would make it five from six in the league. Jose Mourhino will no doubt have his team primed for this game as he knows a slip or two will let Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal back into the equation and Mourhino wants to be out in front on his own. With Chelsea not having a reliable striker to net goals it has fallen to the star studded midfield with Hazard, Oscar, Lampard, and Ramires to pick up the slack. To this point Chelsea's midfield has been doing the job but as the season progresses one has to worryabout where the goals will come from for the blues.
What appears on teh outside to be a one sided game i think that Chelsea wll not have it all their own way here. Cahill and Terry might have their hands full dealing with the physical presense on Benteke, when you throw in the exuberance of youth with Weimann and the pace of agbonlahor and you can see what I think Villa will cause some problems for Chelsea. With that said while I think that Chelsea may well come away with victory, I think it will be a struggle and I am taking the overs in this game. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
