Finally Arsene Wenger's team is back in a final, having beaten Wigan Athletic on penalites at the weekend Arsenal face into the last six games of their season with a real chance of silverware. The biggest priority for Wenger and his team though will be to win their last five games in the league to give themselves the best chance of getting Champions League football next season. Arsenal have been in a nose dive in their league performances of late drawing two, losing two (including a 6-0 loss to Chelsea) in their last four games. Wenger's strikeforce have been misfing with Giroud struggling and being replaced by young Sanogo. Lucas Podolski, Sanogo, Cazorla, Ramsey and Rosicky have all struggled in recent weeks and with Arsenal having played 120 minutes on Saturday there is every chance tiredness will play a big part in Tuesday night's game.
West Ham come into this game having not played since last Sunday, Sam Allardyce's team put up a good performance against Liverpool and were very unlucky to lose the game with a dodgy penalty seperating the teams in the end. Andy Carroll, Carlton Cole will fancy their chances against a tired Arsenal defence and Carroll in particular is still playing for a chance to be in the English World Cup squad. I expect Sam Allardyce to have a game plan for Arsenal, when boss of Bolton Allardyce always was successful in frustrating Wenger and Arsenal and I expect Tuesday night to be no different.
I think we will see an open game here, West Ham are more or less safe and played well last time out against Liverpool. I think they will fancy their chances at getting at Arsenal's back four and likewise I think Arsenal will think that they can get at WEst Ham down the wings with Podolski and Oxlade Chamberlain. I'm going to take the overs here as I think we see some goals in what should be an entertaining game. Take the overs and follow me on twitter@antonpippo
