Valencia put in a terrific performance at home in the quarter final of the Europa League beating Basel 3-0 on the night and then scorign two more in Extra time to win 5-3 on aggregate. Hero on the night was Paco Alcacer who netted a hat trick, one of Vargas and Jonas will be his foil up front and Valencia will rely heavily on these trio as goals have been at a premium for Valencia who really struggled to find the net all season. But the Mestalla is a special stadium and Valencia's fans are some of the most passionate in football expect a hostile atmosphere for Sevilla and one which could inspire the home side.
Sevilla turned around a quarter final with Real Betis when they lost the first leg at home 2-0 and won away 2-0 to force penalties. Coming through such a test seems to have inspired Sevilla who have now won six of their last seven in all competitions. A clinical performance in the first leg of the semi final seen Sevilla come through with a 2-0 win with Bacca and Mbia netting the goals. Jose Antonio Reyes has failed to find the net all season in La Liga but was a constant threat in the first semi final along with Rakitic they caused Valencia lots of problems on the wings and will expect to do similar tomorrow night.
After the quarter final win over Basel I think Valencia may just be destined to lift this trophy. Such was the hammering they took the first day in Switzerland I personally thought there was no way back but Valencia proved me and every other pundit I know wrong when pulling out a terrific home performance. I think tomorrow night Valencia will have to be just as good and this will be a really tough game but at the current market prices I cant look past a Valencia win at 5/4. Take Valencia to get the win in the Mestalla, it may not be enough to get through but I do think they will get the W. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
