The biggest news for both teams is the absence of one Cristiano Ronaldo. Real Madrid need to win this game to stay in the title race but bigger than the title is La Decima, or the tenth Champions League title and with Real preparing to take on near neighbours Athletico on the 24th May they will hold Cristiano Ronaldo out of both their league games if it means he will be 100% for the Champions League final. Real struggled last week when Ronaldo limped off after eight minutes. Carlo Ancelotti will now look to Karim Benzema who has netted seventeen goals this season , Gareth Bale, Di Maria and Modric will lool to provide the creativity and at theback Ramos, Pepe and Lopez will look to keep Celta de Vigo out.
Celta de Vigo have won three on the bounce and have the hottest striker in the league right now. Nolito has scored six in his last three outings and eight in his last five games. With charles and Nolito up front Celta will fancy their chances of giving Real Madrid a game, especially at home. Added to the mis is that Luis Enrique, the ex Barcelona player, is the manager of Celta De Vigo and one of the favourites to end up at Barcelona next season if they dispose of the services of Martino.
An intriguing game here, hard to call. Real Madrid look like they will have too much for Celta but missing Cristiano Ronaldo will be a loss. It would be for anyone, but with Gareth Bale, Benzema, Di Maria and Modric there should be enough for Real Madrid to win. I think this wont be easy though and I am going to take both teams to score at 7/10. The price seems a little big especially with Nolito in such terrific form andReal Madrid needing the win.
