Germany put in a clinical performance against Portugal with Thomas Muller to the fore of most of the good scoring three and being a menace for the Portugese defence. Of course there were some rather unsightly dives from Muller and co that was very ungerman and hard to explain. Muller's collapse against Pepe was what sparked the ire of the Portugese center half to the point where he did butt heads with Muller and got a red card. The offence was a reaction to a blatant dive by Muller who was looking to have the center half booked and while there is no excusing Pepe's actions Muller should shoulder some of the disdain. That aside this is a very talented German side with some real trickery on the wings in the form of Ozil and Goetze. Tony Kroos was impressive in the opening game and defensively the Germans looked very solid.
Ghana on the other hand will have come away from their game against the USA wondering how they lost it. Pressing and controling the play for long periods the Ghanaians just could not find the net. Andre Ayew eventually hit the onion bag through a terrific piece of skill from Gyan and a delicate pass from Muntari. Munatrim, the Ac Milan midfielder is undoubtedly one of the star men on this squad with Asamoah of Juventus another key component. If they can get amongst the German midfield I have no doubt they will create chances for the speedy Ayew's and Gyan.

I like the overs here. Germany look like they can score at will at times and there is no doubt defensively Ghana may struggle from set pieces against the physically imposing Germans. But equally Mertesacker at the back will struggle against the pace of the Ghanaian forward line if they can get good service from the midfield. I'm taking the overs here big time.
