A rough week for Brendan Rodgers could be compounded on Saturday if Liverpool fail to beat Hull City at Anfield. Rodgers reds have been struggling of late to get any sort of rythm going and Mario Balotelli seems lost at the moment. The enigmatic Italian seems incapable of both scoring and contributing to the cause as he seems off the pace and to a degree uninterested. Liverpool fined Balotelli for swapping shirts with Pepe at half time in the Champions League game, a ridiculous move if you ask me but one that Liverpool felt the need to do because of fan and media pressure. Raheem Sterling now looks to be the only outlet for a struggling Liverpool but this is not solely down to Balotelli Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool board should be taking alot more of the blame as they failed to replace Suarez even though they knew he was leaving early in the summer. An injury to Daniel Sturridge has highlighted how poorly Liverpool managed in the replace Suarez category but lets not forget this is still a quality team with quality players. Gerrard, Couthino, Henderson and llalana all have the ability to be game changers and when on form Balotelli is almost unplayable.
Hull have struggled at times this year both with injuries and a little lack of composure at the end of games. Hull have dropped nine points in the last ten minutes of games and were cruely denied a famous win over Arsenal at the Emirates by a nintieth minute equaliser from Danny Wellbeck. Diame and Hernandez have proven to be excellant signings under Steve Bruce and while both found the scoresheet last week they have been truly excellant for the Tigers all season. With a solid work ethic along with some talented individuals and a couple of quality finishers Bruce has put together a rather useful side and Hull will definitely not fear Liverpool even if it is in Anfield.

What should be a good open game of football tomorrow could be decided by who takes their chances up front. At the moment I dont see Liverpool being a 11/20 favourite over any team in the Premier League, they just are not playing well enough. So for me the value is on the away team here. At 9/10 with a goal head start I just cant look past the Hull City tigers here. I will also be spreading a little on the moneyline at 8/1. The prices are just too big especially against a Liverpool team that are struggling up front. Follow me on twitter @antonpippo
