While its a tough ask for Manchester United to beat the runaway league leaders the Red Devils are at home and in Old Trafford Manchester United are a tough team to beat. Angel Di Maria, Falcao and Hererra have come in during the summer and with Robin Van Persie fit again there is no doubt that Manchester United have alot of attacking options. Juan Mata will be a key player for United as he plays behind the front two of Van Persie and Falcao. Mata has an axe to grind against his former club with Jose Morhino basically freezing Mata out of the Chelsea team last season leading to Mata's midseason move to Manchester United. Mata's link play with Di Maria and Falcao and Van Persie will be a key to how Manchester United do against a stingy Chelsea defence. Louis Van Gaal could always start Fellaini up front as well if he wants to try something different but with the quality of Falcao, Di Maria and Van Persie I think Fellaini will again be relegated to a plan B role from the bench.
Chelsea will come to Old Trafford having won six games in a row and are unbeaten this season in all competitions. The only worry for Chelsea would be a lack of options up front as Diego Costa and Remy are both injured and it would look like ly that Chelsea legend Didier Drogba will lead the line for the visitors. While the lack of a center forward will be a problem for Chelsea with a midfield of Oscar, Hazard, Matic and Fabregas there is enough creativity and attacking intent to more than make up for no Costa. Or is there?
Well as all those who are constant readers will know we have been minting money by backing the overs in Manchester United games and I see no reason to stop that winning formula when United are facing a high powered offence. United may always give up chances but theyare most definitely going to also create chances. Overs is the bet here and for those looking for a side I think Manchester United at 2/1 at home is too big. If you can get evens on United +1 I would be taking a chance on United. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
