Can Mario Balotelli survive the season at Liverpool or will he be sold in January and the entire moved deemed a flop? Personally I dont actually know what to make of it, Balotelli no longer looks like the supremely talented Italian striker that has mood swings. He now looks like a premadonna , that's lazy, somewhat physically gifted but likely to struggle in the cut and trust of Premier League action. Brendan Rodgers will probably look to start Rickie Lambert on Tuesday night to give the ex Southampton striker some gametime and that will take some of the building pressure off Balotelli but with Liverpool really struggling at the moment I expect Rodgers to start more of his big guns that would have happened if Liverpool were doing well in the league. Mignolet, Sterling, Henderson and all of the back four are likley to start with Balotelli and Gerrard the only two likely to be "rested" in my eyes. This will be a tough game and one in which Liverpool will not want to lose in Anfield.
Swansea will fancy their chances of the upset here. Wilfred Bony has started to find his scoring boots and added to the threat on the wings of Routledge, Dyer and Sigurdsson through the center and Gary Monk has put together quite a useful attacking unit. Swansea have only lost one of the last five in all competitions and combatitive ex Liverpool midfielder Jon Jo Shelvey will fancy his chances of giving his old club the run around tonight. Montero and Bony as looking like a dangerous combination although the former is yet to find the net he is playing rather well.

At the moment its hard to take Liverpool as 4/5 favourites even at home. Swansea are well capable of pulling off the shock here. This depends of course on the strength of the starting line up but if Bony, Dyer and Routledge start I am think that Swansea on the moneyline are the value bet here. I am going big though on Swansea +1 on the handicap and will spread a little on the money line as well. Follow me on twitter@antonpippo
