What should be a great tactical battle in Portugal on Tuesday could be defined by a Portugese player, but not one playing for Benfica. Jao Mouthino is a vital cog in the Monaco machine, he returned from injury at the weekend but only played twenty minutes. Passed fit to start tomorrow the midfielder will be the engine of the Monaco midfield the question, can he provide the key passes. Berbatov is missing through injury and Monaco are reliant on the two youngsters Martial and Germain. This is a big test for Monaco as Jardin's team are unbeaten in six and have shown a tough streak when playing away of late. Carvalyho the former Chelsea defender has been tremendous beside the impressive Raggi. Together they will have the job of martially Talsica the Benfica starlet who has netted eight in nine games.
Jorge Jesus young side will have to win here tomorrow anything less and the Portugese are more than likely going out of the competition. Its a game though that Benfica can win. The mix of south americans and portugese has moved Benfica to the top of the league and Talisca in particular is attracting attention all across Europe. Holding onto the Brazilian will be a future worry, getting him the ball on Tuesday night will be the immediate goal.

I think Benfica can get a win here. Monaco are good defensively but going forward they look a little light, the French side have only scored one goal in the three games so far and Benfica do possess some talented forward players. I think Jorge Jesus side will get the win here to make it a very interesting group. Take Benfica to win.
