Le Classique as it is known in France takes place in the Parc Des Princes with PSG looking to close the gap at the top of the league table to leaders Marseille. Edison Cavani has taken on the role of leader in the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovich. With Cavani and Lavezzi striking up a good partnership PSG have won the last five games. Cavani has netted four goals in his last four and the winner in three of those four goals. Laurent Blanc will be looking to get Lavezzi involved more since his return from injury and I expect that lavezzi, lucas and Cavani start as a front three. At the back for PSG David Luiz and Thiago Silva have formed a terrific partnership and will be tough to beat especially as Marseille are without the suspended Andre Ayew.
Marseille will miss Ayews pace, the forward is the perfect foil for Gignac who is having a career season. Gignac has scored ten goals in twelve league games and is obviously the main threat for Marseille. Marseille have a very good defence as well though and that is one of the main reasons the team is top of the league. Thauvin, Imula and Mendy are forming a formidable midfield but they face probably the best midfield in France tomorrow night in a hostile stadium in a game that is the biggest derby in france, slight pressure for a young trio that average age is 22.

This one is a great match up, PSG are at home and rightly favoured but Marseille have played tough all season. I expect this to continue tomorrow and look forward to the game with great anticipation. This rivalry is the biggest in France in most peoples eyes and La Classique should live up to its name tomorrow. I am taking the draw as I think Marseille have enough to trouble PSG and PSG have not been infallible at home especially after midweek Champions League games.
