Liverpool and Crystal Palace meet in Selhurst Park with both teams in desperate need of a win. Crystal Palace have lost four of the last five, that run of games have left Neil Warnock's side seventeenth in the table just above the relegation zone. One could make the argument that this was a tough fixture list for the Eagles and I would agree that home game against Chelsea and an away game against Manchester United were tough but Palace need to win games against Sunderland, Westbrom if they are going to stay up. The problem for Crystal Palace is their lack of penetration offensively. Zaha, Campbell and Chamakh need to give Palace more if they are to survive.
On the other side we have a Liverpool team that are struggling just as much of late having lost their last three. Funnily it is a similar problem that plagues the reds, they just cant find the net. Mario Balotelli was bought to replace Luis Suarez' goals but has yet to find the net in the Premier League. Daniel Sturridge's injury problems have pretty much ruined Liverpool's season. Brendan Rodgers will have to take some of the blame for not adding enough quality to the Liverpool squad. This will be a tough game for Liverpool and is of course the ground where they blew a 3-0 lead last season only to draw 3-3. That game pretty much cost Liverpool the league title last season and I am sure players like Stephen Gerrard will want to banish those memories with a performance tomorrow.
Tears at Liverpool v Palace from last seasons 3-3 draw
Tough fixture to predict here but I am going to go with the overs here. Liverpool simply must win to keep themselves in with a chance of making the Champions League and therefore I think they will gofor it from the off tomorrow. Crystal Palace has some pace with Zaha and Campbell and they can hit a poor Liverpool defence on the counter attack. I am taking the overs as I see Balotelli finally breaking his Premier League duck and Liverpool getting a win here with both teams scoring.
