On tuesday night Manchester City take on Bayern Munich in a must win game, it's simple for City now. Win both games or exit the Champions League, there are a couple of scenarios where City could still qualify with a draw but in reality they must try to get a win at the Ethiad on tuesday night. Manuel Pelligrini must send his team out to win, the hopes of Manchester City lie in the hands of the brilliant Sergio Aguero who is the best player in City and possibly the best player in the Premier League. Big games will be needed by City's other stars as well Kompany, Ya Ya toure and David Silva but the true difference maker is Aguero and the sky blue fans at the Ethiad will hope the little Argentina can produce his best against a Bayern Munich team that have been irresistable of late.
Bayern Munich come into this game on a five game winning streak but are also unbeaten this season. Pep Guardiola's side have been sensational since the return of Ribery and Robben. Thomas Muller is having a fantastic season following on from his terrific world cup. The German forward is linking well with the brilliant Robert Lewandowski and withi Maro Goetze sitting in behind them it is a tough team to play against. Bayern tend to dominate possession and Xabi Alonso will be the key figure passing the ball from the back and orchestrating everything from midfield, especially with Philip Lahm now missing through injury.
The only way for Manchester City to win this game is to go at Bayern from the off, City have breathtaking pace on the wings with Navas and Aguero up front, Silva and Toure are a match for anyone in midfield and Fernandinho must protect the back four. But if Jovetich is fit and can form a partnership with Aguero I think City can and will get a win here. Bayern have already won the group and wont have the same motivation as City. This is a big odds for a Manchester City team that in general have been terrific at home over the last three or four years. Take Manchester City +1 on the handicap and I will be spreading a little on the money line as well.
